Title:                       Occupational Therapist, Preceptorship

Contract:                Preceptorship, permanent

 

 

At Creative Therapy Options, we are passionate about enhancing the lives of children and their families. Our beautiful Headquarters site features state-of-the-art sensory integration rooms, an assessment centre, art studios and trauma-informed therapeutic spaces.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a new occupational therapist to join the team, as part of a unique preceptorship opportunity.

 

The preceptorship will be utilised in a phased approach to guide your journey to becoming a specialist occupational therapist within a chosen sector(s) of paediatrics, sensory integration, trauma and attachment and neurodevelopmental diagnostics. The preceptorship will include internal, external and formal certificated training, with the support of a highly specialist multi-disciplinary team.  

 

We invite applications from candidates who have to desire to complete Sensory Integration postgraduate training (via the SI Network or CLASI) and/or sensory-attachment intervention training. Our centre is ideally located on a stunning 100-acre farmland site at the Milton Keynes/Central Bedfordshire border, offering a serene and supportive environment for both clients and staff. Essential Criteria:

  • Fully qualified Occupational Therapist

  • HCPC registration

  • Advanced DBS check

  • Full UK driving licence

 

Desired Criteria:

  • Experience working with children and families

  • Experience in mental health

As part of our team, you will be introduced to both the application of therapeutic intervention and assessment which will include a mixture of work within the community and direct work at our Children's Centre.

Title:                       Honorary Assistant Psychologist     

Contract:                Up to 1 year, up to 15 hours per week

 

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide support to CTO services, by producing outcome measure reports and to assist with clinical work.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enter clinical and audit/research information as required into information systems.

 

Receive and send emails and use the internet to access information relevant to professional practice and research.

 

Carry out literature searches in various databases to ensure that the evidence on which the services interventions are based is continually updated.

 

 

Take part in audit and service evaluation, with colleagues within and across the service to help develop and improve services to clients and their families.

 

To utilise theory, evidence-based literature and research to support evidence based practice in individual work, work with other team members and across the service.

 

To take part in any research being conducted by the service which will actively contribute to the body of research on which the service draws, ultimately enhancing the understanding of how trauma impacts upon children and families, and how psychological interventions can assist.
